Pharmaceutical Compliance Intelligence
BioVice · 18 months
Built an ontology-based orchestration layer that unifies legacy pharma compliance systems without replacing them — wrapping SAP, Veeva, and Documentum in a semantic layer with AI-powered automation and full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
The Challenge
Pharmaceutical manufacturers operate critical compliance systems that are 25–30 years old and completely irreplaceable. These systems — Documentum, Veeva, SAP, TrackWise — are siloed and can't communicate. Quality teams operate blind across systems, manually reconciling data across platforms that were never designed to talk to each other. Replacing them is not an option: revalidation costs alone would run into tens of millions.
Our Approach
We built an ontology-based data orchestration layer inspired by Palantir Foundry's architecture. Instead of replacing legacy systems, we wrapped them in a semantic layer: a structured data model (entities, relationships, certificates, suppliers, batches) that federates data from existing systems without migrating it. On top of this layer we deployed 24+ AI agents handling certificate extraction, change impact assessment, CAPA routing, expiry management, and natural language regulatory queries. Full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance was built in from the ground up — ALCOA+ enforcement, WORM document storage, complete audit trail, IQ/OQ/PQ validation documentation.
Outcomes
- Ontology layer federating data across SAP, Veeva, Documentum, and TrackWise
- 24+ AI agents automating certificate extraction, CAPA routing, and regulatory navigation
- Full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance with WORM storage and complete audit trail
- IQ/OQ/PQ validation documentation — production-adjacent PoC ready for pilot
- SAP and Veeva connector framework enabling read + selective write-back
Modular Sensor Platform for Industrial Condition Monitoring
Cohera · 12 months
Designed and built a plug-and-play modular sensor platform for industrial condition monitoring — taken from concept to market-ready product, deployed across automotive, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and oil & gas environments.
The Challenge
Industrial facilities lose millions annually to unplanned equipment failure, yet existing condition monitoring solutions are expensive, proprietary, and require specialist installation. Smaller and mid-sized manufacturers couldn't justify the cost or complexity of enterprise IoT platforms, leaving them reliant on manual rounds and reactive maintenance.
Our Approach
We designed a modular, hardware-agnostic sensor platform built around a plug-and-play architecture: standardised sensor modules, a flexible data ingestion layer supporting multiple industrial protocols, real-time edge processing, and cloud dashboards purpose-built for each industry vertical. We built the full product — hardware abstraction, firmware, platform, and marketing presence — and took it through industry-specific go-to-market positioning across automotive, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, oil & gas, and data centres.
Outcomes
- 100% GMP compliance achieved for pharmaceutical environmental monitoring deployments
- $2.8M in product loss prevented through early environmental excursion detection
- 85% reduction in manual documentation time for monitored facilities
- 2,400 manual inspection hours saved annually per pharmaceutical deployment
- Multi-industry platform: automotive, pharma, food & bev, oil & gas, data centres
Headless Commerce Migration
Mid-Market Retailer · 6 months
Led the migration from a monolithic e-commerce platform to a composable commerce architecture, delivering 40% improvement in page load performance and 18% conversion rate uplift.
The Challenge
The client was running a 7-year-old monolithic platform that had become a development bottleneck. Time-to-market for new features was measured in months. Page performance was degrading. They'd explored re-platforming twice before but never pulled the trigger — each attempt stalled on risk and complexity.
Our Approach
We started with a discovery phase to understand the true scope — inventory, integrations, custom functionality — before recommending an architecture. We designed a phased migration approach that kept the existing platform running while the new composable stack was built in parallel. We managed the full technical delivery: storefront, integrations, data migration, and go-live.
Outcomes
- Full migration completed in 6 months with zero downtime
- Page load performance improved 40% across core pages
- Conversion rate increased 18% in the first 90 days post-launch
- New feature deployment time reduced from 8 weeks to 3 days
